Redemption time? Philadelphia 76ers sign free agent big man Montrezl Harrell to two-year, $5.2m deal
Per an ESPN report earlier today, it has been confirmed that free agent big man Montrezl Harrell will join Doc Rivers and co in Philadelphia. Having most recently played with the Charlotte Hornets, the 2019-20 Sixth Man of the Year has a player option in the second year and will look to rebuild his reputation after a down 24 months as well as a marijuana charge.

After firing James Borrego, Charlotte can’t afford to waste potential with his successor
In a surprise to some, the Hornets sacked their head coach James Borrego on Friday after the Hornets again failed to make the postseason for a sixth consecutive year. Despite more year-on-year improvement, it’s clear the franchise view themselves as much better than a play-in team, but will they get the next hire right? Frank Vogel, recently dismissed from the Lakers, and Golden State Warriors assistant coach Kenny Atkinson are linked with the new vacancy.

Per reports overnight, the NBA will hold this summer’s draft at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. After hosting a virtual Green Room last November due to the COVID-19 pandemic, invites for an in-person setting are being sent to youngsters widely expected to be high lottery picks this year.
