Novak Djokovic today underwent surgery on a torn meniscus in his right knee, an injury sustained midway through another exhausting comeback win at the French Open as the Serbian recovered to stun Francisco Cerundolo in five sets on Monday night. The news also means an in-form Jannik Sinner is the new world no. 1 player, while a first-time Roland Garros king will be crowned this Sunday.
