Everton 0-2 Manchester City: Laporte and Jesus score as Citizens reclaim top spot

Stoppage-time strikes in either half from Aymeric Laporte and substitute Gabriel Jesus ensured Manchester City returned to the Premier League summit, after Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with West Ham on Monday. The 2-0 home defeat means Marco Silva’s Everton now have 11 league losses this term, including four in 2019.

Who is Brighton and Everton target Ezri Konsa?

On Saturday, England won an international youth title for the sixth time in the last two years. The Under-21s, managed by Aidy Boothroyd, claimed the Toulon Tournament for the third successive year after coming from behind to defeat Mexico 2-1. Of the youngsters involved in the Three Lions’ matchday squad, 14 are currently contracted to Premier League teams. If recent reports are to be believed, that number will rise this summer.
